Report by Mr. Perroshan Achary Glenmore once again had no shortage of boys wishing to play cricket and we were easily able to field four teams. Unfortunately some of the traditional teams we played only fielded 3 teams and this meant that some teams played fewer matches than others. In addition, many matches were cancelled due to rain, leaving our boys disappointed. The U13 boys showed great commitment and remained positive throughout the season. As with most of our teams, enjoyment was the name of the game and the U13s proceeded to do just that. The fielding was of a high standard and the boys improved their batting and bowling with every game played. The U13A team was captained by Chase Nymphe while the U13B team was captained by Gcobani Ceza. While the U11 team played fewer matches in the 4th term due to rain, they had an exceptional year. Of the matches played, i.e. the 1st term & 4th term, they lost only two matches. The boys played positively throughout the year and looked a professional outfit at all times. The team was a well balanced side, full of talented all rounders. Their greatest strength, however, was their team spirit. The boys played their hearts out and grew in confidence with every match played. batting, bowling and fielding were impressive and of a very high quality. These youngsters have a wonderful future ahead of them. The team was ably captained by Caldon Adams who showed true sportsmanship at all times both on and off the field. A very enthusiastic group of youngsters played for the U10 side. As always, the boys had to work hard at all aspects of the game; batting, bowling, running between wickets and fielding, to hone in on their skill. Coaching U10s is a very rewarding experience as the progress and development of individual players and the team is evident. Every boy had an opportunity to be either captain or vice captain of the team. I look forward to their contribution to Glenmore cricket in the future. Finally, a special thank you to Mr. Crane, Mrs. Walker and Mr. Pillay for their time, dedication and effort in coaching the various teams. Well done guys !

Report by Mr. P. Crane The U13 A Cricket team has had a very successful year of cricket. Although they did not win many of their games, they matured as a team and developed well as a unit, making the last game of the season a real thriller, with Glenmore, just losing to Morningside by 7 runs, which they really should have won. Report by Rohan Adams The Glenmore U13 Girls' cricket team played against the Glenmore U11 boys. The boys won the toss and chose to bat. The boys didn't know, but the girls had three secret weapons ... three U13 boys were in their team! The U11 boys batted well, scoring 64 runs. Some of the girls took some very good wickets. Best bowlers were Kylie Vorster (two wickets) and Riana de Bruyn (one wicket). The girls batted enthusiastically but only managed to make 36 runs.

Mini Cricket Report by Mrs. Jill Roberts This year we had a mixed Grade 1 and 2 team and then a Grade 3 team. We have watched these teams improve and achieve great results at matches under the very able coaching of Brett Walker and Justin Humphrey. In the fourth term we have played in a mini cricket league organized by Penzance School and each Thursday we play a different school at the Dokkies field. Mrs. Govender and I are always proud of our teams' performance. Well played boys. Our Most Valuable Player was Dwain Burns, and our Most Improved Player was Tony Simonit. Congratulations !
