Report by Augusto Luyo Sanchez

The Grade 7's at Glenmore Primary went on an overnight excursion to Hibberdene Children's Home. Why were we going? To learn how to work as a team. When we got there we were shown our dormitories (one big room for the boys, and one big room for the girls). We were then put into random groups.

We did many group activities, such as discussing what you could do with a paper clip when you're lost in the wild, frying or boiling an egg with only two matchsticks, a striker, a piece of foil and whatever nature could provide. We also has lessons on problem solving. Then we had fun time, playing and swimming at the beach. That night we had a bonfire at the beach. One of the teachers dressed up as a ghost and scared us.

The next day we went on a long hike. It was fun but we also did some work, such as learning about plant life and marine life. We were tired and sad when we left Hibberdene, and we had a good time.
