A friend

There's lots of things with which I'm blessed

Though my life's been both sunny and blue

But of all my blessings this ones the best

To have a friend like you in times of trouble

A friend will say, "Just ask... I'll help you through it."

But you don't wait for me to ask, you just get up and you do it!

And I can think of nothing in life

That I could more wisely do, than know a friend,

And be a friend, and love a friend ... like you.

So stand up today with my own two feet.

You are the best friend I've ever had.

The Pond

The pond is a wonderful thing to gaze at. That's why there are never ending eyes in the water. I love the pond when it's static. Like a forest with no disturbance. Until the men come to cut the trees. That's when a child throws a pebble in the water. I don't think anybody would like other people interfering with their home. So why interfere with the pond residents' home. God didn't give us the pond to have a fright, He gave it to us to cherish the sight.

Forest Fire

The fire crawled slowly like a snail up the tree with small flames. The flames creep around the trees. Then it suddenly shot up like a squirrel on fire, trees crashing and crumbling like crunchy chips. The wind rumbled and growled like the angry sea. trees moving from side to side.

A True Friend

Someone who's there

Someone who cares

Someone you can trust

This person is hard to find

This is a true friend.

Riana de Bruyn

The Fire

She sprints across the forest, like a raging tiger. Charging frantically, like a tiger who has been refused her longing desire. She eventually, silently but violently gulps in the thickness of the forest. The forest was devoured, she thought it was endless. She slowly sighed as she faded and died. She always made a promise that she would once again visit the beautiful forest. She left the forest in total destruction, they were left restlessly awaiting her resurrection.

The Three Colours of Glenmore

Purple, the colour of lavender releasing a catching fragrance. Like the number of flocking children that fills up Glenmore's attendance.

White, the colour of heavy puffy clouds ready to release what they have taken in to the lands below. Not only do Glenmore's children take in knowledge for private benefit, but for others knowledge to grow.

Green, the colour of flourishing pastures that stretch over staggering miles. As she watches her children come and over far places, Glenmore will have never ending smiles.

My dog fast, dirty, slow, cute, hairy

Very irresponsible, likes my mother's washing

Makes dents in my father's car

Eats a lot of food, anything you give him.

Barks but doesn't bite

Small but strong

Fears nothing big nor small

Likes to dig holes

Always on a mission to destroy my mother's garden.

Never gives up

Sharp teeth but good for nothing

Open that gate - she's gone

Loves turkey and wine

My dog, Sesame.
