Zulu

    Report by Mr. Zaki Khan

This has been another productive year for Zulu. Learners have produced excellent oral presentations throughout the year. This shows that they have understood work discussed in class and they are able to apply what they have learnt practically. Grade six learners were given an assignment on Zulu Traditional Medicine, as this dealt with our theme Uyagula? (Are you sick?). I was impressed with the hard work put in by the learners and I had these projects displayed in the media centre. I look forward to another challenging year and hope to achieve more with the learners.

My mother has a garden. In the garden there are flowers, plants and weeds. My brother Nsika cuts the grass. I weed the plants. My mother plants vegetables and seeds in the garden. Sometimes we all play cricket with some friends of ours. My father likes working in the garden. He digs holes in the garden. In the garden there are spiders, birds, butterflies, centipedes and insects. My mom's garden is beautiful.

My mother has a garden. Her garden is huge and beautiful. In her garden there are plants, flowers and trees. I water the flowers and also plant spinach/vegetables and other flowers. My brother, Siyabonga digs a hole in the garden. Father cuts the grass. In the garden there are insects, millipedes, birds, spiders and butterflies. The insects in the garden don't want to go away, they are irritating. I like flowers because they smell lovely. Brother also likes flowers. It is beautiful in the garden, it is beautiful indeed.

Mom has a vegetable garden and a flower garden. The flower garden has flowers and trees. The flower garden is beautiful. The vegetable garden has potatoes, pumpkin, fruit, carrots and cabbages. The vegetable garden has a lot of vegetables. Mom's garden are at home. In my mom's garden there are lots of insects, birds and butterflies. My brother, father and I help mom in the gardens. My fathers cuts the grass, I take out the weeds and my brother waters the flowers in the garden. I love my mom's garden.
