Dear Parents,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the beautiful flowers, cards and kind words offered to me over the last few days after the death of my mother. There is no doubt that the sympathy and kindness offered by those around me has helped at this very sad time.

Christmas Nativities

The infant children are looking forward to their performance tomorrow after a very successful dress rehearsal today. Please remember to try and have your little ones looked after to allow the children to perform at their best.

The Junior Carol Service will start at 7pm on Thursday 16th December and all junior children should arrive at the church at 6.45pm in full school uniform unless other instructed by Miss Philip.

Talent Show

The junior children have been working hard in their spare time on entertainment items for a talent show here on Monday 20th December.  The infants have been invited and are looking forward to seeing their older friends perform.

Poetry Book Launch

All the children in the school have been busy writing poems this term and Mrs Sally Dryden has very kindly compiled them all into a book which will be launched next week. The children will soon be bringing home a flyer to give you full information and we hope as many of you as possible will be able to attend the launch which is set for Tuesday 21st December at 3pm in the school hall.  There will be mulled wine and mince pies and poetry readings from the book.  You will be able to purchase this special book for £5.00; all proceeds will go towards resources for the children.

School Entertainment

The PTA have kindly paid for the Globe Theatre to entertain the children with ?A Christmas Carol? on Tuesday 21st December at 1.30pm. Both children and staff are looking forward to this tremendously.

End of Term

Please remember that school finishes at 2.30pm on Wednesday 22nd December 2004 and reopens on Monday 10th January 2005 at 8.50pm.

I sincerely hope you all have a very happy Christmas and New Year and I look forward to seeing you all bright and early in January.

JANE MARTIN
