NEWSLETTER NO. 6
Dear Parents, Miss Philip is expecting a baby next year and she will be starting her maternity leave at Easter. I will be teaching Year Six myself up to the half-term holiday in May in order to prepare them for SATs; the class will be taken over by a supply teacher for the final half-term. I am sure you will join with me in extending the very warmest congratulations to her and in wishing her every joy and happiness that a new baby brings. Parking Please follow the laws concerning parking and be especially aware that your car may be clamped if you do not. Many thanks to the vast majority of you who drive and park with extreme care and consideration. Walkers Crisps We have today received notification about mislabelled Walkers' brand "French Fries". Cheese and onion French Fries have inadvertently been packed into Ready Salted bags. Those with allergies to milk, wheat and mustard must take every precaution to avoid these wrongly packaged foods. The Anaphylaxis campaign has been notified of this error, please refer to the helpline 0800 274777 should you have any concerns. Christmas Festivities The children have really enjoyed the last few weeks at school, which have seen wonderfully successful nativity performances from both infants and juniors, an amazing talent show which included items such as dance, football skills, singing and drama, a very entertaining theatre production of "A Christmas Carol" paid for by the PTA, Christmas parties and puppet shows and just today the launch of their very own poetry book. The whole school has been alive with creativity and enthusiasm and the staff cannot wait to hand the children back to you! Have a great Christmas holiday, stay safe and happy and we will see you all back on Monday 10th January 2005 at 8.50am.
