TSUNAMI APPEAL

Dear Parents/Carers,

After the recent events which have affected parts of Asia, St. John's School feels that it is important to support these countries in raising money to help to rebuild lives and communities.

We have made links with an organisation in Sri Lanka that is raising money to rebuild an orphanage which was destroyed.

We will be holding a series of events on Friday 21^st January in order to raise money for this worthwhile cause and hope as many of you as possible will support this special day.

We will be holding a sale on Friday 21^st January starting at 3pm. We are asking for people to donate unused and unwanted gifts under the following categories:

Toiletries

Toys

Homeware

We will be selling homemade cakes and would appreciate any donations.

This will also be a non-school uniform day, so  the children will be able to wear their own clothes and we would ask that they bring in a donation of £1.00

We ask that all donations be given to class teachers by the morning of Thursday 20^th January.

We will be holding a raffle with some fantastic prizes donated by local organisations. Tickets will be on sale from class teachers from Monday 17^th January. Anyone willing to help with this event please contact Mrs Dean (Yr 1) or Miss Skinner (Reception).
